Judy Clement

Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish joins the Clement family in prayer as we mourn the death of Judy in a car accident.  I spent the day with the family and they are, as ever, strong in faith.  The priest who was with Judy and David at the hospital spoke of a "sad but holy death."  The outpouring of love and support from our parish family speaks to who we are, and who Judy is for all of us.  Please continue to pray for the family as they go into these next few days and the future.

At this time funeral plans are still to be made, but I will certainly update the blog with funeral information as details come together.

Thanks to all for their calls and emails of support.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.  May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.  Amen.

  1. Hi Father,
I heard through a yahoo group that is praying for Judy and her family.
I would like to know if help is needed (we are out of state) and if so, where would it be sent.
    Thank you.

  2. My fiance and I just met Dave and Judy after attending "A Joy Filled Marriage" last night and last week. They were so full of love for the faith and for each other. We're very saddened to learn of Judy's passing. God bless the Clement family and faith community during this difficult time. -Nikki

  3. I was passing through town in November last year and assisted at Holy Mass in your parish. I believe I sat behind Judy and David. Please know that Saint John the Beloved parish in McLean, VA will be saying Holy Mass for her, and that our prayers are with you all. She is our sister in Christ, too, and we mourn her loss with you and send you our prayers. Pax Christi vobiscum, Therese Pawlowski

  5. Judy was an incredible woman. Very faith-filled, so much fun to talk to and be with. I knew her from co-chaparoning at many diocesan youth events. My prayers and those of my family are with Judy's family as they deal with their loss. I cannot even begin to imagine how their hearts must be hurting. Judy will be missed by all who knew her! - Karen

  6. To Judy's wonderful family, Fr. Bateman, and all of St. Andrew Parish community...know that I am carrying you all in heart and prayer as you cope with the loss of such a beautiful woman of God. As Judy lives within the embrace of her Redeemer, may our Beloved Savior carry you all in His Sacred Heart, filling you with His comfort, strength, and peace; and may our Heavenly Mother wrap you and protect you in her mantle of love. Be assured of my continued prayer and oneness in spirit... Peace in Christ, Karen
